Mr. Beans and his housemate, Frank, escaped their yard by jumping over the fence, chasing after a deer. Both Mr. Beans and Frank were struck by a car. Mr. Beans survived this accident, but Frank, unfortunately, did not.Mr. Beans suffered severe trauma including lung contusions, internal bleeding, moderate pain, abrasions, and he required immediate stabilization. With the efforts of stabilization by our team, Mr. Beans did not require surgical intervention or oxygen therapy. He did, however, require anti-arrhythmic medication to help with his abnormal heart rhythm.As a retired veteran who just began a new job, Mr. Beans’ owner was not prepared for such an emotional, sudden loss of Frank, and the unexpected expenses of Mr. Beans’ medical care. Mr. Beans and his owner received a donation from our Sharing the Care fund – to assist with the cost of his five-day hospital stay. Mr. Beans is now back home with his owner, with Frank watching over them both as they continue to recover from this emotional ordeal.If you want to help patients like Mr. Beans – please consider donating to our #SharingTheCareFund.
